Gravity vs powered rollers: how to choose for furniture lines

A practical checklist for plant engineers deciding where gravity is enough and where powered zones pay back.

Gravity rollers move unit loads with slope or manual push. They are ideal for buffers and low-cost lanes when operators or slope provide energy.

Powered rollers add controlled motion for indexed transfer, uphill segments and zero-pressure accumulation. Use them where takt must be guaranteed.

Suyuan Equipment typically mixes both: gravity for buffers, powered for process connections — reducing energy use without losing flow control.
